Are the amenities available to renters?

Yes, you are entitled to the use of all the fabulous amenities Loggerhead Cay offers. Swimming pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard, grills and picnic areas, and of course the beautiful beach!

Is there a management office on site?

Yes, Loggerhead Cay has a full time management office.

Is a car necessary?

We do recommend a rental car if you're flying into Fort Myers. Although there is a cab service on the island, it is not always available for short trips to the full service grocery stores, etc. You will surely enjoy exploring this sanctuary island on your own as well. If you choose not to drive, we can recommend a reliable car service for round trip airport transfers.

What is there to do on Sanibel?

You may enjoy miles of dedicated bike/walking paths, Ding Darling Nature Preserve, casual and fine dining opportunities, interesting shops and galleries, Sanibel Day Spa, CROW (Center for Rehabilitation of Wildlife), live theatre, a small movie theater, nearby kayaking, fishing and wildlife viewing adventures, bike rental, miles of sandy beach, and of course, shelling. Sanibel is considered one of the best shelling destinations in the world!

Is there a nearby medical facility for emergencies?

Yes, Healthpark and Lee Memorial are located in nearby Fort Myers, just minutes from Sanibel. There are also walk in clinics and pharmacies on Sanibel.
